Terms of Service

Treehouse is operated by RunCodesRun, a development studio based in the Philippines. Questions: support@thetreehouse.me.

By creating an account you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.

1. You must be 18

Treehouse is for adults. We ask your date of birth when you sign up and refuse anyone younger. If we find out an account belongs to someone under 18, we remove it.

2. Your account

Use a real email address you control — it is how we verify you and how you get back in. Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

You can change your username once every 30 days. Mentions of you in posts, comments and messages follow the change, so nothing anybody wrote stops pointing at you. Your old username becomes free for somebody else to take.

3. What you post

You keep ownership of everything you post. We do not claim your photos or your words, and we will never use them to advertise anything.

You give us only the permission needed to run the app: to store your content, to show it to the people you have chosen, and to make the smaller and larger copies of a photo that a phone needs. That permission ends when you delete the content, except for copies in backups that age out, and anything we are legally required to keep.

Post only what is yours to post. If you did not make it and do not have permission, do not put it here.

4. What is not allowed

Do not use Treehouse to:

• harass, bully, threaten or stalk anybody
• post sexual content, or anything sexualising a child — the second is removed, preserved as evidence, and reported to the authorities as the law requires
• post content that promotes violence or self-harm
• impersonate somebody else
• send spam, scams or bulk unsolicited messages
• break the law, or help somebody else break it

5. Reporting, blocking and removal

Anybody can report a post. A report is evidence, not an action — it hides nothing on its own. A person reads it and decides. Twenty reports do not remove a post; one decision does.

Anybody can block anybody. A block is mutual in what it hides and one-sided in who is told: you both disappear from each other's app, and only the person who blocked is told it happened.

We can hide content or suspend an account that breaks these terms. When we do, we record why. If you think we got it wrong, write to support@thetreehouse.me and a person will look again.

Content is withheld, not destroyed. A removed post keeps existing so that a decision can be reversed and an appeal can be heard.

6. Leaving

You can stop using Treehouse whenever you like. You can deactivate your account, which hides it until you sign in again, or delete it from Settings in the app, which erases it 30 days later unless you sign in before then. If you signed up with Google or Apple, write to support@thetreehouse.me to delete it instead. The privacy policy sets out what deletion erases and what it keeps.

We can close an account that repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires it.

7. What we do not promise

Treehouse is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, always be fast, or never lose anything. Keep your own copies of photos that matter to you.

We are not responsible for what other people post. We are responsible for dealing with it when you tell us.

To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you have paid us — which today is nothing, because Treehouse is free.

8. Changes

If we change these terms we will update the version and date at the top, and email you about any change that affects your rights before it takes effect. If you keep using Treehouse after that, you accept the change. If you do not, you can delete your account.

9. Which law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Nothing here removes a right you have under the law where you live — if you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, your consumer rights apply regardless of this section.

This document was written to describe accurately how the app works and what we will do. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer.
