How can we help?
The answers to what people ask most are below. For anything else, write to support@thetreehouse.me and a person will read it.
Who can see my posts?
Accounts start out public, which means anyone signed in to Treehouse can see your posts. Switch your account to private and only the followers you approve can see them.
Posts you share in a group stay in that group — they do not appear on your wall.
How do I make my account private?
Go to your Profile, tap the ••• button at the top right, then Settings. Turn on Private account. From then on, people have to ask before they can follow you, and you approve or decline each request.
Somebody is bothering me. What can I do?
Block them. Open their profile, tap ••• and choose Block. They will not be able to find you, message you, or see anything you post, and you will not see them. They are not told.
To undo it, go to Settings and then Blocked accounts.
How do I report a post?
Tap ••• on the post and choose Report. What is and is not allowed is set out in the content policy.
Can I report a comment, a message or an account?
Not from inside the app yet — only posts have a Report option today. Email us a screenshot at support@thetreehouse.me and a person will look at it.
If you want them gone from your app straight away, Block them as well. Blocking works on its own and does not wait for us.
Can I change my username?
Yes, once every 30 days. Go to your Profile, tap •••, then Edit profile. Mentions of you in posts, comments and messages update to the new name, and your old username becomes free for somebody else to take.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email address. We send a code to that inbox; enter it, then choose a new password. Resetting it signs you out everywhere else.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes. Treehouse is for adults — you must be 18 or over to have an account.
Where can I get the app?
Treehouse is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play, for iPhone and Android. It is free to join.
Can I take a break without losing everything?
Yes. In Settings, under Account, tap Deactivate account. Your profile and posts disappear from Treehouse, and nothing is deleted. Sign in whenever you want and it all comes back.
How do I delete my account?
From inside the app, in a few taps. Here is how, and what happens to your things.
Still stuck?
Email support@thetreehouse.me. It helps to send it from the address your account uses, and to tell us your @handle and what kind of phone you have.
